WASHINGTON, D.C. (2-27-2025) – Students for Life of America (SFLA) President Kristan Hawkins announced the launch of a new television advertising campaign calling on President Trump and the GOP to stop funding their political adversary – Planned Parenthood. Beginning Feb. 27 and running for two weeks on FOX NEWS, a six-figure TV commercial buy will highlight a new place for DOGE to get scarce taxpayer dollars returned for better service. The Democratic Party-supported Planned Parenthood reported that they received nearly $700 million taxpayer dollars in their last annual report, money that could be spent in real healthcare locations that offer full-service care. But that’s not all. Family Research Council’s “America’s Direct Deposit to Planned Parenthood” report in 2022 noted that, since 1993, Planned Parenthood has raked in $10.35 BILLION in total taxpayer funding. And, according to their most recent annual report, Planned Parenthood used it’s federal funding to help kill more than 1,076 babies every day & pump gender-confused teens full of sterilizing hormones, all while its political operation continues to elect candidates who hate President Donald Trump and American taxpayers.
SFLA’s ad is the latest in a series of attempts at cutting-edge media spots sponsored by the Pro-Life Generation, although not all SFLA ads make it to their debut – during the NFL season on ReachTV, their ad was canceled at the last minute. The television commercial, called “Exposing Planned Parenthood,” noted that you could fill six-and-a-half football stadiums with the number of children whose lives were ended by Planned Parenthood.
In this new spot, Hawkins is joined by Turning Point USA CEO Charlie Kirk and Isabel Brown, author and conservative content creator, who all note that millions have been lost funding President Trump’s political enemies.
“It’s never been more clear: Planned Parenthood is Trump’s political enemy, and you only have to look at the last election cycle to see how one-sided their political activism is. And now, the New York Times reports that horrifying conditions are an issue behind the closed doors of the nation’s number one abortion vendor. It’s time for Americans to use their collective voice to call on President Trump to stop pouring out our taxpayer dollars to Planned Parenthood, an organization that spends millions to elect pro-abortion politicians so they can keep ending precious lives in the womb,” said Hawkins. “Defunding Planned Parenthood is a win for all Americans, born and preborn, and would be a huge win for President Trump.”

Key points from Planned Parenthood’s Annual Report in 2022-2023 compared to 2021-2022 prove abortion is a federal issue:
- Abortion rose to 392,715 from 374,155 lives ended. (About 40%of all abortions in the United States).
- Coerced taxpayer funding rose to $699.3 MILLION, From $670.4 million in 2021-2022, and up from $1 million in2019-2022.
- 45 Planned Parenthood affiliates sold sex-manipulating, potentially sterilizing drugs – up from 41.
The abortion industry is no stranger to squeezing money from government programs. As SFLA Vice President of Media and Policy Kristi Hamrick recently wrote:
“Abortion funding can be found in the budgets of the Department of Health & Human Services (HHS), where healthcare policy and mandates of all kinds dictate spending, in the Department of Defense & Education, proposed in the “Abortion is Health Care Everywhere Act.”
Abortion funding is also found in funds sent to Planned Parenthood through Title X. Abortion funding was even placed in the fine print of COVID relief, as though ending lives was part of saving lives. And this list is hardly definitive.

Rather than putting needy women seeking care first, millions of dollars allegedly go toward playing politics and fighting in court. Despite distributing $899 million to affiliates to “deliver care,” reportedly “none of it went directly to medical services.” The New York Times stated that, “much of the national funding to affiliates went to legal support, public campaigns to expand abortion access and subsidies for patient navigators.”
