This may come as a surprise to the pro-abortion industry and their allies in the Democrat Party and the media, but the Pro-Life Generation wasn’t joking when we said we’re coming for the pro-abortion Republicans haunting the only pro-life, pro-family party left in America.
The Foxes are unhappy to be evicted from the hen house. The Guardian covered this development – and to the credit of the beaten pro-abortion (former) Sen. Penry Gustafson, she’s exactly right about what’s coming next. According to the article: “The right to legal abortion in South Carolina is in a ‘dire’ condition, said the state senator Penry Gustafson, who lost her seat on Tuesday to a primary challenger prepared to vote to [restrict] abortion at conception.
Gustafson is one of five female lawmakers dubbed the ‘sister senators’ who blocked legislation to outlaw abortion from the point of conception in the state. The three Republicans among them – Gustafson, Sandy Senn and Katrina Shealy – each drew male primary challengers who competed for conservative primary voters seeking more restrictive abortion access.”
In short: yes. This was always the plan – and we’re glad that the media is finally catching on because when we began handing out spines to members of the South Carolina legislature, we didn’t do it because we thought they’d make nice desk ornaments. We did it to send a message loud and clear: vote pro-life, or we’re coming for your jobs.
They refused to vote in favor of pro-life legislation. So, the Pro-Life Generation got to work. And what would you know, we delivered – unlike the state legislators who stabbed preborn babies and mothers in the back.
Our grassroots program in South Carolina included:
- 37,407 pieces of mail
- 110,641 text messages
- 47,011 phone calls
- 2,572 doors knocked
In one of these primary races, between pro-abortion State Sen. Sandy Senn and pro-life candidate Matt Leber, the margin of victory was only 31 votes. We knocked on more than 1,000 votes in that district – so, if that doesn’t showcase how important these grassroots pushes are, nothing will.
And to be clear – we’re not done either. Next week, State Sen. Shealy will face her challenger, pro-life champion Carlisle Kennedy, in the run-off race. We await her defeat with great anticipation.
