On a bright summer day, Vice President Kamala Harris touted her abortion radical, transgender-supporting, and crime-ignorant Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz to Philadelphia – their first-ever campaign stop together. The mission of Students for Life Action (SFLAction) was clear:
Stand firm in our pro-life convictions and shed light on their dark and sinister abortion beliefs.

Walz has signed legislation allowing for late-term abortion and even infanticide. Meanwhile, Harris can’t name a single abortion she doesn’t support and did nothing when a video with Planned Parenthood workers allegedly discussing illegal actions landed in her lap. This can’t go unanswered, especially if they want to lead the freest nation in the world but don’t advocate for the freedom of the preborn.
As the Pennsylvania Regional Coordinator for Students for Life of America (SFLA), I was joined by a group of dedicated volunteers, all united by our commitment to the preborn.
At the rally, we aimed to educate the community about Harris and Walz’s extreme abortion stance. We knew we would face opposition, but our commitment to this cause drove us forward. Armed with pro-life signs and a willingness to engage in meaningful dialogue, we approached the crowd.
A Day of Passion and Challenge
From the moment we arrived, it was clear that this rally would be a battleground of ideas. Harsh words and judgmental glares rudely greeted us, but we refrained from retreating.
Some of the remarks were disturbing, including calls for us to “go burn a cross” and “go to hell.” Many people shouted, “I love abortion,” and denied the inescapable truth that abortion happens through all nine months.
The hostility reached a point when a lady, an OBGYN who had performed abortions, dismissed our perspective with a mix of avoidance and aggression. She even used her professional background to shut down the conversation rather than engage without arguments from authority, but rather arguments based on facts.
Despite the negativity, we found moments of connection and encouragement. Several individuals approached us, intrigued by our message or simply wanting to understand our perspective. One man, initially skeptical, praised our passion and urged us to continue fighting for what we believe in. His words were a reminder of the importance of respectful discourse, even in the face of disagreement.
A Moment for the Media and A Ride Home Turned Aggressive
The rally also provided an opportunity for media exposure. In an interview with the Philadelphia Inquirer, I emphasized our goal to highlight Kamala Harris’s extreme abortion views. This media presence was a crucial platform for sharing our message with a broader audience.
As the rally concluded, I took the subway home, reflecting on the day’s events. Unfortunately, this was when the day took a troubling turn. An encounter with an aggressive man on the subway left me feeling unsafe. His verbal assault escalated quickly; he stood inches away from my face, shouting, “Do you want to say that again to my face? Say it again.” Despite my attempts to calmly address his comments, he continued to hurl insults and accusations, even using a Bible verse about miscarriage to poorly justify abortion.
He then accused me of being a fascist and wanting to lock him in a cage. His aggressive behavior and the threatening tone of his words left me feeling rattled and in danger, and I decided to exit the subway. This incident was a stark reminder of the personal risks involved in standing up for our beliefs, especially in a highly charged environment.
Moving Forward
Despite the challenges and opposition, the positive interactions and support we received reinforced the importance of our mission. We reached thousands of people, engaging in fruitful conversations and standing up for our values amidst adversity.
As we move forward, we remain steadfast in our commitment to protecting the preborn through advocacy, SFLA groups on campuses, ballot resources, Kristan Hawkins and Lydia Taylor Davis campus tours, and more.
Stay tuned for more updates on our efforts and future events following Harris and Walz around the country as they spread their radical abortion agenda. Your support makes all the difference in this critical fight for the most vulnerable among us against the most powerful in the world.
