WASHINGTON, DC (09-05-2024) – Students for Life Action (SFLAction) and Students for Life of America (SFLA) President and CEO of the Pro-Life Generation (PLG) Kristan Hawkins recently penned an open letter to pro-lifers in the wake of former President Donald Trump’s comments on Amendment 4 in Florida and the potential of an abortion extreme Harris-Walz administration. Hawkins implored pro-lifers to not stand idling by and refuse to vote for either candidate, arguing to stand against Harris and Walz by voting for Trump.
“I truly believe that writing in a nonsense name or sitting out this election would be a moral wrong – not only for the lives of children who are on the line but for the future existence of our movement, for our very right to continue to recruit, educate and mobilize.
However, if President Trump is elected, you and I both know we will have a lot of work in store for us as we will have to do battle with pro-choice members of his Administration. And I’m certain there will be disappointments.”

While Trump has made several comments on abortion being a states’ issue, abortion continues to be a federal issue as taxpayer funds to the tune of at least $700 million went to Planned Parenthood between 2022-2023, not to mention other abortion funding in national and international fund.

“The Pro-Life Generation will have to persuade, mobilize, and educate Trump, voters, and legislators on the legislative and moral impact of protecting preborn lives as a free republic,” said Hawkins. “A Harris and Walz administration would have no issue having more taxpayer funds going towards abortion and codifying a national law worse than Roe ever was.”
Heading into election day, SFLAction is encouraging President Trump and the GOP to stand and fight back and boldly call out the Democrats for their radicalism against the preborn.
