Midterm Voting Has Started. Beware of the Democrats’ Radical Abortion Agenda

As early voting kicks off, it is important that the American public know what they’re voting for, especially when it comes to preserving the sanctity of human life from womb to natural death. Luckily, the Democrats made that easy for us.

The U.S. House Democrats released an 84-page agenda detailing all their plans should they win back a majority of seats. Detailing their plans for the first 100 hours, first 100 days, and first year of their potential reign, the agenda is as radical as it gets with attempts to make abortion legal at every stage of pregnancy for any reason nationwide.

Second on their list of what Democrats would accomplish in the first 100 hours is the most extreme attempt at creating an abortion state we have yet to see: a radical two-act plan to force up-until-birth abortion on every state across the country, even those that have laws protecting life, which would lead to countless deaths of preborn children nationwide.

H.R. 12: Making Abortion Legal Up Until Birth

H.R. 12 is the first of these two acts. Deceptively named the “Women’s Health Protection Act,” an act that would prevent the passing or enforcement of pro-life laws that prevent “the provision of, and access to, abortion services” before “viability,” an incredibly inconsistent standard the law fails to define.

If passed, this legislation would prevent governments of all levels from creating any regulation or prevention of abortion pills and procedures, telehealth abortion services, interstate travel for abortive purposes, or other delays before “viability.”

The H.R. 12 would also create vague standards regarding “unnecessary medical procedures” and “medically inaccurate information” to prevent any sort of pro-life legislation from providing women pro-life options. It also would prevent the government from requiring those who commit abortions to have safety credentials or meet other medical safety standards.

And it doesn’t stop there. H.R. 12 would require that abortion be available at every stage of pregnancy for the life and health of the mother. It has been long concluded that abortions are never necessary to preserve the life and health of a mother, and abortions do not solve any medical condition that a mother may face while pregnant.

But all of this is moot because of what comes next.

“Additionally, states may authorize post-viability abortions in circumstances beyond those that the bill considers necessary . . . The bill also prohibits governments from implementing measures that are similar to those restricted by the bill or that otherwise target and impede access to abortion services, unless the measure significantly advances the safety of abortion services or health of patients and cannot be achieved through less restrictive means,” says the bill summary.

In other words, the passing of H.R. 12 would allow states to commit abortions at any time, for any reason. Those that try to save preborn lives could be sued by individuals, abortion vendors, or even the Department of Justice itself. The legislation also removes any immunities from government officials that could protect them from being targeted with a lawsuit.

H.R. 12 is an act of death and intimidation.

H.R. 4611: Forcing Taxpayers to Fund Abortion

The next proposed legislation would make sure there is nearly unlimited funding for abortions straight from the American public’s pockets.

H.R. 4611, or the “Equal Access to Abortion Coverage in Health Insurance Act,” sometimes shortened to the “EACH Act,” requires all government-funded insurance services, from the VA to Medicare and Medicaid, to cover the costs of and ensure access to abortion.

It doesn’t end with government insurance plans. The “EACH Act” also states that “The Federal Government shall not prohibit, restrict, or otherwise inhibit insurance coverage of abortion services by State or local government or by private health plans.”

In other words, if passed, H.R. 4611 would destroy the Hyde Amendment and restore federal funding for abortions.

Abortion Radicalism on the Ballot

The agenda was written by the health care working group led by far-left radicals Minority Leader Rep. Hakeem Jeffries (D-NJ), and the committee who made it included everyone from Democratic Socialist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) to those deemed more moderate, including Rep. Terri Sewell (D-AL).

With more than 60% of House Democrats consulted during the creation of this agenda, it is undeniable: abortion-up-to-birth paid for by the American taxpayer is the goal of the modern Democrat party.

We have seen what happens when the Democrats’ abortion demands go unchecked. Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, for example, signed laws allowing for abortion up-until-birth. After eight babies were born alive after attempted abortions, Walz repealed laws that required these born-alive babies to receive medical care.

In 2024, this man was the Democrats’ Vice-Presidential candidate.

Voters can’t forget this at the ballot box: the Democrats are promoting an infanticide agenda.

Students for Life of America’s Demetree Institute for Pro-Life Advancement‘s January 2026 survey with Survey USA showed that less than 1-in-10 Gen Z and Millennial voters, the largest voting bloc, support an agenda like this.

This election cycle, Students for Life Action (SFLAction) kept this in mind as we mobilized across four states — Idaho, Missouri, Nevada, and Virginia — to fight pro-abortion ballot initiatives that would do everything from enshrine abortion into state constitutions to removing parental consent requirements for minors seeking abortions, as well as to support ballot initiatives that would overturn rules like these and reinstate lifesaving pro-life laws.

The extreme abortion ideology of the Democrats inspired the latest Students for Life Action (SFLAction) campaign: “Democrats Love Late-Term Abortion.” Starting in August and going to Election Day, SFLAction has been on the frontlines making sure voters know the radical abortion agenda they are voting for when they support Democrats — and is changing minds in the process.

And would be fair to say that the work of SFLAction has never been more needed.
