Recently, Rep. Ashley Hinson (R-IA-2) invited Students for Life Action President Kristan Hawkins on her Facebook Live as a guest discussing the Pregnant Students’ Rights Act H.R. 6914 that passed the day before the national pro-life march. They discussed Students for Life Action’s mission and shared more in detail why we brought this bill to the Congresswoman, along with how the Pregnant Students Rights Act will help pregnant women on college campuses finish their degrees and achieve their career goals while choosing life and embracing motherhood.

While the vote in the U.S. House was a party line effort, this should have been a bill with unanimous consent as it simply communicates all the legal protections women have at school. Democratic Congress members who call themselves “pro-choice” and pro-women” clearly showed their true colors with their open rejection of such commonsense legislation that requires schools to communicate all the resources that are available to women who are pregnant, to affirm their Title IX rights.
