DeSantis Strikes Again, Picks Pro-Life Work Horse Florida AG Ashley Moody to Replace Marco Rubio

With the high likelihood that Florida Sen. Marco Rubio will be confirmed as the Secretary of State, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis gave a press conference in glowing praise and announcement of Rubio’s replacement, Ashley Moody.

And after an examination of her record, it’s easy to see why DeSantis picked her as Rubio’s replacement.

DeSantis could be called America’s pro-life governor for being the most outspoken on life in his current position. Not only did he sign Florida’s heartbeat law into effect, but when Amendment 4 was posed to destroy preborn protections up until the moment of birth, he remained vocal about and against Amendment 4 and its purposefully misleading and confusing language. By his side through this anti-Amendment 4 campaign was none other than Moody. Let’s take a quick and close look at her recent record and everything she’s done for Florida’s pro-life movement.

When Palm Beach County lawyer Adam Richardson asked the Florida Supreme Court to block the Agency for Health Care Administration’s efforts to educate people on how Amendment 4 harms women, Moody wrote a rebuttal to throw the case out entirely since DeSantis was well within his rights and was “good governance,” writing that the case “threatens to impose dangerous constraints on the free-speech rights of elected officials.”

Along with 17 other state attorneys’ generals, Moody joined a lawsuit to protect against Biden’s misuse of the Pregnancy Discrimination Act for abortion.

“Unelected commissioners under the Biden administration are seeking to hijack protections for pregnant workers by twisting language into an illegal interpretation of the Pregnant Workers Fairness Act of 2022,” Moody said. “We are fighting back against the unprecedented, attempted mutation of these laws.”

Not to mention how much the Democrats hate for her pro-life values, even attempting to block Florida’s abortion amendment in Florida’s Supreme Court, calling her argument “purposefully dishonest.” What more could you ask for?

Well, there’s plenty more she can do as Florida’s newfound senator if her track record is any indication.

From what Students for Life Action has seen, Ashley Moody is the type of legislator who is willing to stand up against the weaponization of government, as evidenced by her actions when the Biden-Harris Administration abused the Pregnant Workers Fairness Act for abortion. It stands to reason she’ll stand up to abortion-hungry politicians in the Senate who fight for more preborn death.

While pro-life work abounds in Washington D.C. to reverse course on the radical misuse of government programs to push abortion, we look forward to seeing Sen. Moody protect LIFE in the law.

Things are looking brighter in America; hopefully, during Trump’s presidency, more preborn children will be able to see the light.
